Professional Background
My Approach to Therapy
I am primarily an EMDR and Sensorimotor therapist but I also use an eclectic and person-centered approach to address my clients issues. I am trained in the following therapies:

-EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy)
-Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (level 1 and level 2)
-Internal Family System (parts work)
-Hypnosis (level 1and level 2)
-Havening Technique
-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most valuable component in therapy. A good therapeutic relationship consists of trust, honesty and collaboration between myself and my clients. Most importantly I am passionate about my work as a therapist and I know that God led me to this profession.
In 2009 I obtained my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. In 2011 I obtained my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, AK.
I gained my clinical experience working in a community mental health agency from 2011 to 2016 and in an opioid maintenance (Suboxone) program for two years.
As an enthusiastic learner I participate in professional trainings, consultation groups, and personal development work to ensure that I am facilitating your treatment with the latest research and evidenced based practices.
I love Alaska and all that it offers! When I am not working I am spending time with family and friends enjoying the great outdoors!
